Relationships often carry a quiet weight, the kind that builds slowly through misunderstandings, miscommunications, or just the exhaustion of everyday life. If you and your partner are struggling to connect, communicate, or simply feel close again, you’re not alone. Many couples in Bradford find themselves in this space, unsure of where to turn next.
I’m Gurchehn Singh, and I offer couples therapy from my private practice at the Grove Business Centre in Bradford. My aim is to provide a safe, structured space where both of you feel heard, supported, and equipped to rebuild or reimagine your relationship.

I see couples for many reasons. Some arrive in crisis, others are simply feeling distant. You don’t have to be on the brink of separation to benefit. Therapy isn’t about fixing anyone, it’s about understanding what’s happening beneath the surface.
Common reasons couples reach out include:
✓ Arguments that go in circles without resolution
✓ Emotional withdrawal or physical disconnection
✓ Trust ruptures or betrayal
✓ Navigating external pressures (cultural, family, career)
✓ Changes in intimacy, roles, or expectations
I hold space for all of it, whether you’re staying together, figuring things out, or preparing to part with care.
As a BACP-registered therapist, I bring professional training and personal insight to our work. I use elements of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which focuses on the patterns that keep couples stuck in conflict or silence.
✓ How you communicate when you’re hurt or misunderstood
✓ What defences show up, and what they’re protecting
✓ Emotional needs that haven’t been named or validated
✓ How your past experiences influence your current responses
✓ Ways to rebuild closeness and intimacy that feel safe
I won’t take sides or assign blame. Instead, I work to make each partner feel genuinely seen.
Before I became a therapist, I worked in high-pressure environments where emotional stress often went unspoken. My own experiences with mental health led me to retrain and establish this practice. I now offer a grounded, empathetic space for others to explore the emotional landscape of their lives and relationships.
I hold a degree, a diploma, and a master’s in counselling, and I’m currently pursuing supervision training. I work from my therapy room in Bradford and offer sessions online across the UK.
Q. Is couples therapy only for married people?
A. No. I work with couples at all stages – dating, engaged, long-term, or navigating separation.
Q. Will you tell us who’s right or wrong?
A. No. Therapy isn’t about deciding who wins. It’s about understanding patterns and creating new ones together.
Q. Can we do individual sessions too?
A. Sometimes. If I feel it would support the joint work, I may suggest short individual check-ins.
You don’t need to have all the answers before reaching out. If your relationship feels strained, stuck, or simply unclear, I can help you find the ground again.
Book your free 15-minute consultation to talk things through. There’s no obligation—just a space to see if it feels right.
